The Grinder is a module added by Engineer's Toolbox that will grind ores and items from an internal inventory and output them to a Machine Output module. This is used in the first step of ore processing in Engineer's Toolbox. The Grinder module uses 10 RF/t and cannot be installed in the same Modular Socket as another machine module.
The Grinder is a machine added by Factorization, mainly used to turn ores into ore gravel in order to increase the yield of metals. The Grinder requires Charge to run. 11 Reflective Mirrors are needed to get the Grinder started. Once it is running at full speed, it only needs half the power.

Nether ruby/peridot/sapphire can be smelted in a redstone furnace, but it seems the overworld versions of these ores cannot, and they cannot be pulverized.
