Arathi is definetly the best place to go for iron ore. Obtained about 98 Iron, 14 Gold, 6 Silver, and 25 Tin, in about 2 hours. Dont forget to look in Bolderfist Hall, Bolderfist Outpost and the Drywhisker Gorge for extras along the way. And the Lake at Whiterbark Village normally has a few. Happy huntings :D

Well, the idea of a best place is where the ores don't change places and regenerate fast so you can mine them ideally without stopping and moving, as it happens in dwarven mines. To mine without stopping it requires an amount of around 16 blocks, depending on your aiming speed, ingame mining speed and the angle and distance between the blocks.
